Moving truck was 2+h late, arriving at about 4:15pm. Loading took a while (we have a lot of crap, there's a shock), but it basically fit. I got a flat tire in on Rt. 2 in Concord ; of course, I had to dig the tools and donut out from underneath all of the crap I loaded in the car, so the side of the road was briefly covered with fencing gear and a mounted Saison Dupont poster.
I still beat the truck, In fact, by over an hour at this point, and it still hasn't arrived. An hour ago they claimed to be in Acton, and driving slowly and cautiously. As of half an hour ago, moving company says that the truck got stopped for some kind of nit-picky truck inspection, and of course we won't be charged for that time. But ye gods, it would be nice to have this over with.
But ambient borrowed wireless is very nice, as is being in easy striking distance of Anna's.
UPDATE 11:24pm: They call. "We're right in front of the house, waiting for you to come out". We go out; no truck. They're at the same address in Somverville.
